SAJE Senior Ministry

About SAJE

SAJE Senior Ministry is a partnership of churches in the Crestwood/Sunset Hills area created to offer many services to all older adults in our community regardless of what church they belong to or whether they are churched. Activities take place at all four of the churches, St. Episcopal Church of the Advent, St. Elizabeth of Hungary, St. Justin Martyr and St. Thomas/Holy Spirit. Services include support groups, transportation assistance, social/spiritual activities, minor home repair, seasonal yard work and exercise classes.

SAJE Senior Ministry also supports a Faith Community Nurse, Deb Goldfeder, who is available to the community's seniors. Deb works within a holistic context, incorporatng physical, social and spiritual needs in her care. She is available for consultation about blood pressure, weight, diet, home safety and other concerns. Deb can also attend doctor's appointments, act as an advocate for patients, make referrals for services and help with medication plans.

Christian Community Homecare, a ministry of St. Thomas/Holy Spirit, is supported by SAJE.

Reoccurring events include exercise classes every Monday and Thursday and a monthly Lunch and Learn. Free Movie are shown on the fourth Wednesday of each month.  Table cards and games are also available regularly and occasionally there are day trips to special events. The member churches share hosting these events.
